It was one of the more popular designs of the Telltrig company that was originally based on Coruscant. It was built with the personal defense of senators and other officials in mind. However, other weapons based on a similar idea, like the DDC Defender, proved to be more popular, and the Telltrig company went bankrupt after only four years of production. The weapons found their way to the black market and can now often be seen in the hands of pirates, assassins and bounty hunters. Basically all who can benefit from having a small, easily concealable and easy to use weapon.\"
