Lictor-Class Dungeon Ship  (#6530)
Posted Y17 D213
Deep Space (-195, -255)

These dreaded ships were originally used to transport captured Dark Jedi caught by the Old Republic. Though classified as a Lictor-class Dungeon Ships, they were based off modified Mandalorian Dungeon Ships. They were first used during the Mandalorian Wars, and when not actually being used to transport Force-sensitive or Jedi prisoners, dungeon ships typically transported common prisoners. These vessels boasted a special option for dealing with unruly Force Sensitive prisoners, the Universal Energy Cage, a restraint specifically devised to hold Jedi. Regular prisoners could be handled by electric shock, aural, and chemical treatment (such as releases of hallucinogenic gases), or the droids who assist those who run these ships. Not designed for combat, they are armed with ten turbolasers. The other thing of note is the navigation computer; it can store two and only two coordinates at any given time, the location where the prisoners were transferred aboard the Dungeon ship, and the final destination. The rationale for this was that the navicomputer could conceivably be tampered with by the prisoners.

Datacard

The EE-3 is a favorite of some of the more infamous bounty hunters in the galaxy. Requiring a good deal of skill to wield effectively, the EE-3 is sometimes seen as a sign that one has been around the block a few times and knows what they are doing. Though not quite as powerful as the standard issue Imperial E-11, it still packs a punch, and its ability to be wielded quickly has brought it some popularity outside the bounty hunting profession.

Bowcaster Datacard  (#6858)
Posted Y17 D226
Datacard

The bowcaster is basically a magnetic accelerator with twin polarizers that use alternating polarity pulses to accelerate a highly tensile metal bowstring and propel an explosive quarrel at high speed. Because it is wrapped in an explosive energy envelope that channels the explosive force into the intended target, the fired quarrel has the appearance of an elongated blaster bolt. While considerably less advanced than a regular blaster, it delivers an equal amount of damage. Originally developed as a hunting weapon by the Wookiees of Kashyyyk, intended to take out the most dangerous predators of that planet's dense jungles, they have become possessions of great pride. They are hand made by Wookiee craftsmen and often engraved with clan markings and pictographs showing the greatest accomplishments of the warrior wielding the weapon. To cock the weapon, enormous strength is required, making the bowcaster unpopular outside the Wookiee race. This primitive arming system also causes the weapon to have a limited rate of fire.

When assault teams require intensive, accurate and long ranged firepower, the BlasTech A280 tops the list. While heavy for a blaster rifle, the A280 offers unparalleled firepower that renders most armour useless and is accurate beyond the range of most other weapons. While the weapon is undoubtedly one of the best on the market it is not without drawbacks. Cooling requirements necessitate a low rate of fire and the sheer energy requirements of its bolts drain power cells with alarming rapidity.

Saber Datacard  (#6861)
Posted Y17 D226
Datacard

When species began to develop gunpowder, the ancient antecedent of today's modern mass accelerators, the order and styles of war changed drastically. Since gunpowder allowed for the penetration of older shields and armor, remaining agile and unburdened in combat became the best defensive strategy. This change reduced the heavy armors to more concentrated curiasses; the focus turned toward agility and speed, rather than being a walking tank. As a result the saber was born.
The saber is, to be blunt, a sword made for speed. The blade itself is designed primarily for slashing unarmored opponents, and has a sharpened edge down the outward length of the blade for that exact reason. The real reason for its design however has to do with the times it was made, as it was made to be an effective counter to the curiass. While the blade was ineffective against the curiass itself, a slashing attack would often deflect off of the armor and into the opponent, often causing severe injury. The blade is far more devastating in a stabbing attack however, as the curved blade permitted it to wrap around armor, killing the opponent. As a result virtually every sentient species that has developed the saber did so with only minor variations in its ornaments, but with the same devastating design.

With the rise of heavy weapons and blasters, the saber fell from power however. These new weapons made armor relevant yet again, causing the potency of the saber to vanish virtually overnight. The weapon remains in galactic favor however, for while it has diminished battlefield use, it has found another niche for its existence, the honorable duel. While many cultures have outlawed such acts, beings continue into the modern age to settle their disputes with the saber.

DT-12 Datacard  (#6863)

The DT-12 is a compact and cheap blaster designed to aid those proficient in the art of firing a blaster. More accurate than most other small pistols of the time, it can fire further than most other one handed pistols and can do more damage as well. There is, however, a long delay between shots and the low ammo capacity per power pack makes it unsuitable for prolonged battles where fast firing and short delays are required. The DT-12 was eventually marketed as the diplomats blaster, concealable and powerful. It sports simplified mechanisms and a more elegant design than others in the range in order to make it more attractive to businessmen as well.

Vibro Axe Datacard  (#6864)

Datacard

The Vibro Axe is a heavy melee weapon that is equipped with a vibration generator that creates ultrasonic vibrations which multiply the damage dealt by the blade's cutting edge. The option to turn the vibrator on or off is selectable, and it is a preference of some larger species to prove their strength by wielding and vanquishing their opponent while the vibrator is deactivated. Such displays of strength often intimidate their foes. The long handle of the modern Vibro Axe is insulated to prevent vibration of the handle, but they are occasionally built using wood or other materials that will vibrate when the generator is activated.
Ranging in size and built to suit various species and battle conditions, they are brutal instruments capable of decapitating most unarmed humanoid species with a single blow. Vibro axes of legend were forged from a Cortosis weave which enabled them to withstand parries from lightsabers, but the techniques to produce such priceless weapons have been lost to time, if they were ever known. The Vibro Axe is a favorite of most underworld and other unsavory types who prefer these brutal weapons.

YT-2400  (#7557)
Posted Y18 D1
(-195, -256)

The YT-2400 transport was designed with the small scale independent freighter captain in mind. Whilst most new models incorporate the newest technologies, most of the integrated systems in the YT-2400 are at least 10 years behind the times. This was done because other ships like the YT-1210 and the YT-1300 also use these parts so they are easy to come by, thus making it easier to maintain and service the ship in the field.
Keeping in mind that it is a dangerous galaxy, especially for independent operators, the YT-2400 was equipped with a very impressive weapons array for a ship of its size. Knowing the success of its predecessor, the YT-1300, it was elected to maintain the same arms loadout, even though the use of proton torpedo launchers on a cargo ship like this has often been criticized. Not so much because of the firepower, but because these torpedoes are hard to obtain on the general market, essentially giving the independent operators, who are always short on credits, one shot at using the weapons. Because of this, most captains will only use their proton torpedoes as a last resort.

The YT-2400 retains the distinctive saucer hull design of its predecessors, but has many improvements on the classic design. Amongst other things the primary escape pod is located immediately aft of the cockpit for easy access by the flight crew. The cargo holds, located centrally in the hull, make excellent expansion bays for large sensor suites, weapons

The YT-510, commonly dubbed the \\\"Legacy-Arcrunner\\\" model, has speed unmatched by any other commonly available ship, boasting significant hyperdrive improvements over the other YT models. Even more impressive are the powerful magnetosphere sublight engines, able to reach almost double the speed of previous models. Regrettably, this came at the cost of room and this ship is able to hold little but a few passengers and their supplies. Further more, it is unarmed, making it at risk to pirates. The speed however should more than make up for it.

Barloz-class Freighter  (#7560)
Posted Y18 D1
(-195, -255)

The Barloz-class medium freighter was once one of the most popular vessels to travel the space ways; the YT-1300 of its era. Its size, coupled with durability, made it an ideal craft for freelancers, cargo shippers and smugglers alike. Commonly boasted as the \\\"no frills freighter,\\\" it fit bill and was the first choice of smugglers before the YT series.
Many of the Barloz\\\'s most popular features were passed down to the YT-series based on pilot reviews. The cockpit, for example, was designed to work with a two person crew, but can be manned by just one when needed. Able to carry up to five sentients or droids, the Barloz was designed as a great group transport and includes an underbelly which allows crew and passengers alike to hide in case of emergency. The Nova Quad-D propulsion system installed in the Barloz also inspired the drives used in today’s YT series because of its dependability. The motto for the drive was, \\\"When you leave the port you always make it back home.\\\"
As with all Corellian-made ships, Barloz are customizable to the pilot\\\'s needs. There have been models reported with large amounts of fire power and others with newer hyperdrive units. During the height of the Barloz\\\'s popularity, there were shipbuilders that would specialize in their customization.
Today the Barloz can still be found

Firespray-class Interceptor  (#7562)
Posted Y18 D1
(-195, -256)

The Firespray-class Interceptor is a heavy patrol ship which is very distinctive and has a long history. The first prototypes were developed before the Clone Wars and deployed to a remote prison facility. The ship\\\'s popularity has waxed and waned over the years, and it has been upgraded several times. It has recently experienced increased popularity and is currently being sold as a patrol ship by its manufacturer.

Unlike many patrol ships, the Firespray-class Interceptor is slower and less maneuverable than modern freighters, due to its outdated engines. Furthermore, it\\\'s very heavily armed, with an especially impressive complement of proton torpedo launchers. The Firespray is also very tough, with powerful shields and a durable hull. All told, this combination of traits is very rare in patrol ships, which are typically fast, well-armed, and new; or slow, poorly-armed, and old. This seeming contradiction is most likely because the Firespray was designed primarily for organizations that wanted to raid enemy systems while claiming they were patrolling their own. Viewed in this light, sacrificing speed for amour makes perfect sense, as does having so many proton torpedo launchers.

Perhaps the most distinctive trait of the Firespray is its landing configuration. Most ships capable of landing on a planet, or in a docking bay, do so with their bow facing forward and stern facing backward. The

G-1A Transport  (#7563)
Posted Y18 D1
(-195, -255)

The Byblos G-1A is one of the hardier starfighters in the galaxy. It\\\\\\\'s a preferred ambush vessel among pirates and mercenaries due to its good speed, agile movement and the impressive strength of its hull.
The robust nature of the G-1A is due to an innovative durasteel layering technique. The result is that, in order to successfully breach the hull, its enemies must strike the same place several times to break through all seven layers before hitting something vital. The ship\\\\\\\'s strong outer shell has reportedly preserved many an illicit individual while under fire from security forces by taking damage that any other vessel would buckle under.

Despite its ability to take a great deal of punishment, the G-1A can dish out relatively little with only a single pair of heavy lasers. Still, its fair maneuverability and durable nature make the G-1A an ideal dogfighting vessel; the pilot who mocks its light armament soon comes to realize that firepower matters little when your opponent is essentially flying an aerodynamic battering ram.

The Byblos G-1, originally commissioned by the Republic High Command and constructed on Byblos by Byblos Driveyards, was designed as an escape transport/scout vessel and was considered a nimble craft in comparison to its contemporaries. Later, the G-1 was re-designed to compete with the YT-510 and the subsequent G-1A was

Bryal-class Bulk Freighter  (#7865)
Posted Y18 D117
(-195, -256)

Designed as a cheaper alternative to the BFF-1 bulk freighter and GR-75 medium transport, the Brayl-class bulk freighter was intended to fill a gap in the market for those that needed to haul large amounts, cheaply. To achieve this low cost, the ship was given a relatively basic hyperdrive, no weapons and limited room for passengers. Even so, the designers still included adequate life support systems to maintain a crew of eight and support up to seventy passengers.

Despite the ship\\\'s drawbacks, the freighter is capable of handling a variety of cargo, making it popular with merchants selling goods of all types. However, due to the lack of defensive capabilities, those employing Brayl-class freighters often have to hire escorts for the more dangerous regions of space.

The Brayl-class of ship is also prominent among conscious spenders and individuals or groups working on a limited budget. It is for this reason that they remain a common sight in many trade lanes, due also in part to the range of entities capable of filling the ship\\\'s spacious cargo holds.

Marauder-class Corvette  (#7867)
Posted Y18 D117
(-195, -256)

Designed to look like a large fighter, the Marauder-class Corvette has an astoundingly sleek appearance and relatively small engines. Its lower production cost makes it favorable to a buyer market of mercenaries and small planetary governments.

What the Marauder-class lacks in speed, it makes up for in firepower. Able to mount a stealthy approach, it wields a formidable assortment of three tractor beams and eight turbolasers to inhibit enemy defense maneuvers and defeat them before they have a chance to mount a counter attack. Though not meant for head to head combat, the Marauder-class also has impressive defensive measures. With a combination of strong deflector shields and a capable ionic capacity, it can pose as a formidable foe during a drawn-out battle. It can also carry a small fighter armada or landing party with hangar and docking bays.

Well suited as a patrol craft and easily converted into a war machine, the Marauder-class has been seeing greater use in recent years as a space lane and system enforcement command ship.

Class-A Cargo Container  (#7984)

Cargo Containers are interlocking storage components for use with modular ships, usually heavy freighters. They are designated a class based on their various shapes and sizes. A few containers however are classified by what ships they can be loaded onto, such as the widely popular Class-A, which was designed specifically for attachment to the BFF-1 Bulk Freighter. While other containers are classed by a specialised role they might perform, one example being the Class-C which was built to transport volatile gasses safely.

YV-666 Light Freighter  (#8153)
Posted Y18 D292
(-195, -255)

nother design brought to life by Corellian engineers, the YV-666 is considerably larger than its smaller and cheaper counterparts. The ship sports a long, tall, blocky main hull with port and starboard maneuvering fins to the rear of the craft for vertical movement. A decent all-round ship, the YV-666 manages to retain the legendary ease of modification usually prevalent in smaller freighters.
As with most of the YV series, the YV-666 is built around a two deck main hull. The top deck houses the bridge and navigation systems, while the bottom deck is devoted to engines, power cores, weapons systems and storage bays. The main deck, arguably the major selling point of the ship, is capable of housing both vehicles and fighters. The holds are large enough that one trader claimed he found it could fit a personal residence with room to spare for his speeder. As such, many pirates use the YV-666 as escort carriers on supply raids. Nevertheless, the ship\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s light armament puts it at something of a disadvantage when faced with better armed customized merchant frigates.

Overall, the YV-666 features a simple but admirably effective propulsion system, providing considerable maneuverability, as well as decent hyperspace and sub light speeds despite its size.

EF76 Nebulon-B Medical Frigate  (#8214)
Posted Y18 D319
(-195, -255)

The Medicae-class is a modified version of the standard Nebulon-B Frigate and serves many fleets as a hospital ship. The standard Nebulon-B Frigate is equipped with powerful sensors and deep-space multi-frequency antennas. These sensor and communication suites enable the ship to be used for scouting, command and control and search and rescue. The impressive versatility demonstrated by the frigate, along with a growing need for mobile hospitals within the fleets, lead to the eventual re-engineering of a Nebulon-B Frigate into the Medicae-class variation.
As a variant of the Nebulon-B Frigate, the Medicae-class has the same hardware, such as turbolasers, heavy lasers, and sensor suite. The Medicae-class differs, however, with the inclusion of state-of-the-art medical facilities and more crew quarters to house the addition of a medical staff. Subsequently, the docking bay was removed and some weaponry and interior storage capacity reduced to make room for these changes. The first Medicae-class ships were made by refitting a standard Nebulon-B Frigate, but the popularity and usefulness of the Medicae-class quickly became apparent and they are now produced in this variation directly from the shipyard.

Later modifications to the design of the ship have seen the return of the docking bay, though at the expense of the loss of a number of weapon emplacements. This modification to the design has dramatically increased the efficiency of the Medicae,

Dreadnaught-class Heavy  (#8354)
Posted Y18 D363
Deep Space (-195, -255)

Based on Mandalorian designs, the Dreadnaught-class Heavy Cruiser first saw action over eighty years before the Clone Wars by the Republic Judicial Forces. In their day, they were considered very advanced by comparison to other ship designs, but with the passage of time, that opinion has changed: their sublight and hyperspace speeds are very slow compared to newer ships. By the time of the Clone Wars, the Dreadnaught-class Heavy Cruiser was outdated by newer, more advanced ships such as the Acclamator I-class Assault Ship and early Star Destroyers. However, the Dreadnaughts were used extensively during the Clone Wars due to their abundance and because the newer ships were reserved for the elite troops.

Compared to modern ships, the 600 meter-long capital ship\\\\\\\'s only redeeming quality is its hull strength and fire-power, consisting of 100 various turbolasers and heavy lasers. One of their disadvantages, regardless of their age, was their dependence on manpower. For a long period of time, the ship required a crew complement of roughly 16,000 people. Later models included a full-rig slave circuitry system which greatly reduced the crew complement. Despite their age, Dreadnaught-class Heavy Cruisers are still used by many local governments due to their cheap cost. Some have also been spotted in the service of many of the larger governments, serving as patrol ships over the various backwater worlds they control.

EF76 Nebulon-B Escort Frigate  (#8356)
Posted Y18 D363
(-195, -255

The Nebulon-B frigate is very much the result of the Rebel Alliance. Due to attacks on Imperial convoys, the Empire needed to start protecting their shipments. TIE fighters were impractical here since they lacked hyperdrive capability, and Star Destroyers were simply too expensive to be wasted on such menial tasks. So for a while the Empire employed Corvettes for escort duty. However, it was soon discovered that the maneuverable Rebel starfighters could easily outmatch the Corvettes and the Empire needed a new solution. The answer came in the form of the Nebulon-B frigate. It has good shields, good weaponry, and is capable of carry two squadrons of fighters into battle.

While the Nebulon-B itself is slow and unwieldy, as are most vessels of this size, the fighters can handle anything that is too small or too fast for the frigate. One major advantage of the Nebulon-B design was the idea to put the hyperdrive motivators close to the primary power cells in main engineering on deck 9 in the aft section. Originally, primary communications were to be handled from deck 17, but it was later decided that the bridge would be placed there, allowing the captain more direct access to every part of the ship. Since the Imperial Navy has been assigning Nebulon-B Frigates to escort duty, Rebel pilots no longer find attacking Imperial convoys a quick and simple job.
